Connect Your Shopify Store to Agenticfeed in One Click

Enter your store name, click one button, approve the connection in Shopify, and you land in your Agenticfeed dashboard. That is the entire process. Your products are synced, your account is created, and your store is already set up to be discovered by AI agents. No feed URLs, no theme editing, no developer, nothing to configure. Agenticfeed handles all of it the moment you authorise the connection.

What Happens When You Click Connect

The connection uses Shopify's standard OAuth process, the same secure handshake used by every app in the Shopify ecosystem. When you approve, Agenticfeed does three things instantly, in the background, before you even see the dashboard:

  1. Your account is created. Agenticfeed reads your store's email address from Shopify and uses it as your login. No registration form, no email verification code on this first visit.
  2. Your store is linked. Your Shopify domain, store URL, and product catalogue connection are saved to your account. Agenticfeed knows to pull product data directly from Shopify rather than asking you to find a feed file.
  3. Your feed discovery tag is added to your theme. Agenticfeed writes a single line into your Shopify theme's <head> section: a machine-readable tag that tells AI agents and crawlers exactly where your agentic feed lives. You do not need to touch your theme at all.

By the time you see the dashboard, all three of these are already done.

The Feed Discovery Tag

The tag Agenticfeed adds looks like this:

<link rel="agenticfeed" type="application/json"
      href="https://agenticfeed.ai/feed/yourfeedid.json">

It works the same way RSS autodiscovery has worked for years. Any AI agent, crawler, or shopping assistant that visits your store and checks the page headers will find this tag and know exactly where your structured product data lives. It is how your store signals to the AI ecosystem: "I am ready to be understood."

Before this automatic connection existed, merchants had to find this tag in their dashboard, copy it, open their Shopify theme editor, locate the right file, paste it in the right place, and save. Now Agenticfeed does all of that in the background the moment you connect. Most merchants never even know it happened.

How to Connect

Step 1: Go to the Agenticfeed sign-in page

Visit agenticfeed.ai/login.html. Below the email sign-in form you will see a section called "Connect your Shopify store."

Step 2: Enter your store address

Type your Shopify store address. Any of these formats work:

  • yourstore.myshopify.com
  • yourstore (just the store name)

Use your myshopify.com address here, not your custom domain. You can find it in Shopify Admin under Settings › Domains.

Step 3: Approve in Shopify

Shopify shows you a permission screen listing exactly what Agenticfeed is requesting. Approve it and Shopify sends you straight back to your Agenticfeed dashboard.

That is it

No more steps. Your store is connected, your theme has the discovery tag, and your products are ready to scan.

What Agenticfeed Can and Cannot Access

When you authorise the connection, Agenticfeed requests two specific permissions from Shopify:

  • Read your products. Titles, prices, stock levels, images, and product URLs. This is what powers your agentic feed.
  • Edit your theme files. Used solely to add the one-line feed discovery tag to layout/theme.liquid. Nothing else in your theme is touched.

Agenticfeed does not request access to your orders, customers, payments, inventory locations, or any other part of your Shopify store. The permission screen in Shopify shows you exactly what is being requested before you approve anything.

Your Shopify password is never shared with Agenticfeed. The connection is managed entirely through Shopify's own authorisation system.

You Are Always in Control

The connection can be removed at any time from your Shopify Admin. Go to Settings › Apps and sales channels, find Agenticfeed, and click Delete. Shopify revokes the access token immediately, and Agenticfeed can no longer read your products or make any changes to your store.

If you remove the connection, the discovery tag Agenticfeed added to your theme remains in the file but becomes a dead link. You can delete that one line from layout/theme.liquid in your theme editor if you want a clean removal. It has no effect on your store's appearance or performance either way.

Your Agenticfeed account and any product data or AI intent content already generated is kept unless you explicitly delete your account. Reconnecting later is just as simple as the first time.

Products Stay in Sync Automatically

Once connected, Agenticfeed keeps your product data current without any ongoing effort. On paid plans, your Shopify catalogue is rescanned every night. Products you add appear in your agentic feed within 24 hours. Price changes and stock updates are reflected the next morning. Products you remove from Shopify are marked as unavailable so AI agents do not recommend them.

The AI intent content (questions, problems, use cases) is generated once per product and preserved across daily rescans. Only the live data refreshes each day. Your AI visibility grows over time without requiring any work from you.

Already Have an Agenticfeed Account?

If you signed up with email before this feature launched, the Shopify connect flow still works. If the email on your Shopify account matches your existing Agenticfeed account, the connection links them automatically. Your existing products and intent data are preserved; the Shopify connection adds automatic daily sync and injects the discovery tag on top.

Getting Started

  1. Go to agenticfeed.ai/login.html
  2. Enter your yourstore.myshopify.com address
